Vintage 80s formal or prom dress in black velvet and purple taffeta with polka dots

Fiber content: no tag, most likely cotton velveteen for bodice and polka dots and acetate taffeta as the main fabric for the skirt and sleeves.
Fitted bodice with low cut, faux corset back (does not actually lace up or adjust) and bow
Wide, padded straps create the look of a cap sleeve
Lined through bodice, skirt is full but unlined and does not include a crinoline
No pockets
Fasteners: side zip, hook and eye
Has been professionally cleaned and arrives ready to wear

Very good vintage condition. There are a couple of faint marks on the skirt that did not come out with professional cleaning, but are not particularly noticeable due to fullness and folds of the skirt. See close-up photos.
